Our client is seeking an experienced AWS Senior Developer to join a development team delivering a major cloud-based data platform.

This is a hands-on full-stack development role with a strong AWS focus, responsible for the detailed design and development of scalable applications, data services and integrations within a complex enterprise environment.

Key Responsibilities

- Design and develop robust, scalable applications and services within AWS
- Take ownership of the detailed design and development of key system components
- Develop full-stack solutions across web applications, APIs, databases and data services
- Work with AWS technologies including S3, DynamoDB, Redshift and AppSync
- Develop using TypeScript and Node.js, including unit testing with Jest
- Build data integrations using APIs, Pub/Sub messaging, file transfer and GraphQL
- Work closely with DevOps and Test teams across CI/CD, automated testing and deployment
- Ensure code meets performance, quality, security and testability standards
- Collaborate with Technical Leads, Architects, project teams and external partners
- Follow DevOps, DevSecOps, architecture and cyber security standards

Key Requirements





- Strong commercial experience designing and delivering AWS cloud solutions
- Extensive full-stack software development experience
- Strong TypeScript and Node.js development experience
- Experience with AWS services including DynamoDB, S3, Redshift and AppSync
- Strong experience with PostgreSQL or other relational databases
- Experience developing APIs, GraphQL services and Pub/Sub or messaging solutions
- Experience with real-time data processing and message bus technologies
- Strong CI/CD, DevOps and DevSecOps experience
- Experience with Power BI
- Understanding of enterprise networking and firewalls
- Solid communication skills and experience working across technical and business stakeholders

Highly Regarded

- Python and/or Java development experience
- ReactJS experience
- Microservices architecture experience
- Experience with relational and non-relational database design
- Experience within government, regulated or large enterprise environments
- ITIL / Service Management knowledge
