About the Role

We are seeking an experienced Project Engineer to join our team in Bibra Lake.

The Project Engineer will provide engineering and project support across the design, procurement, manufacture, testing and delivery of TMT products and underwater robotic systems. The role combines electrical engineering, project coordination, technical problem-solving and quality management, working closely with internal teams and external suppliers.

The successful candidate will contribute to the delivery of projects that meet technical, quality, cost and schedule requirements while ensuring designs and manufacturing activities comply with relevant standards and TMT's quality systems.

Key Responsibilities

Engineering & Design

- Design and develop electrical, electronic and underwater robotic systems and associated equipment.

- Undertake electrical assessments, including cable assessments and technical evaluations.

- Develop electrical designs, scopes of work and practical engineering solutions.

- Ensure designs comply with relevant Australian and international standards, specifications and project requirements.

- Troubleshoot electrical, electronic and equipment-related issues during design, manufacture and testing.

- Prepare technical documentation, reports, specifications and engineering records.

Project Delivery & Manufacturing

- Manage assigned engineering projects from design through to manufacture, testing and delivery.

- Coordinate the manufacture of TMT products in accordance with approved designs, project requirements and the TMT Production Manual.





- Manage project workflows, priorities, deliverables and stakeholder expectations.

- Collaborate with engineering, production, procurement and quality teams to optimise equipment and system performance.

- Manage projects relating to equipment, including trolleys and associated maintenance activities.

- Identify and resolve technical issues and production constraints throughout the project lifecycle.

Procurement & Testing

- Develop technical requirements and scopes of work for external suppliers and contractors.

- Request and evaluate supplier quotations based on cost, lead time, quality and technical suitability.

- Coordinate external suppliers and contractors to ensure work is completed to the required standards.

- Coordinate and undertake testing of electrical, electronic and robotic equipment.

- Review test results and provide technical troubleshooting and recommendations where required.

Quality & Compliance

- Produce, review and maintain relevant engineering and quality documentation.

- Ensure engineering and manufacturing activities are undertaken within TMT's ISO 9001 quality management workplace.

- Support the maintenance and continuous improvement of TMT's quality systems.

- Investigate technical and quality issues and recommend appropriate corrective solutions.

- Ensure project documentation and engineering outcomes meet internal and applicable external requirements.

About You

To be successful in this role, you will have:

- A relevant tertiary qualification in Electrical Engineering, Electronics Engineering, Mechatronics Engineering or a related discipline.





- Experience in an engineering, manufacturing, marine, subsea, robotics or similar technical environment.

- Experience with electrical/electronic design, testing and technical troubleshooting.

- Demonstrated experience supporting engineering projects from design through manufacture and testing.

- Strong technical problem-solving and analytical skills.

- Experience preparing technical documentation, reports and scopes of work.

- Knowledge of engineering standards, quality requirements and compliance.

- Experience working within an ISO 9001 environment will be highly regarded.

- Strong communication and stakeholder management skills.

- Excellent organisational skills and the ability to manage competing priorities and deadlines.

- A practical, collaborative and solutions-focused approach to engineering and project delivery.
