Road Maintenance Supervisor

Full‑Time, Fixed Term | East Gippsland Region | Immediate Start Available

We’re looking for a proactive, hands‑on Road Maintenance Supervisor to support the delivery of our road maintenance contract across the East Gippsland region. Reporting directly to the Road Maintenance Contract Manager, this role is ideal for someone who thrives in the field, leads by example, and enjoys working closely with crews to ensure secure, efficient, high‑quality outcomes.

About the Role

As one of two Road Maintenance Supervisors covering the East Gippsland area, you’ll be responsible for coordinating day‑to‑day maintenance activities, supervising field crews, and ensuring works are delivered to contract standards. This is a practical, on‑the‑ground leadership role that requires strong communication, problem‑solving, and the ability to make sound decisions in dynamic environments.

Key Responsibilities

- Supervise daily road maintenance activities including road maintenance grading, pothole repairs specifications, line marking, vegetation control, drainage, and signage

- Oversee daily work schedules, resource allocation, and site coordination.

- Conduct site inspections, quality checks, and ensure compliance with safety and environmental standards.

- Work closely with the RM Contract Manager to plan upcoming works, report progress, and address operational challenges.

- Provide hands‑on support where required, including assisting crews during peak periods or urgent works.

About You

- Has experience in road maintenance, civil construction, or a similar operational environment.

- Has basic computer skills to complete minimal admin requirements.

- Holds strong leadership skills with a practical, hands‑on approach.





- Can demonstrate ability to coordinate crews, manage competing priorities, and maintain high work standards.

- Holds a solid understanding of safety systems, compliance requirements, and quality expectations.

- Is a confident communicator with the ability to work collaboratively and represent the business professionally.

- Holds a current Driver’s Licence, Construction Induction Card and relevant Machine tickets.
