About the role

The PM Shift Bakery Production Supervisor is responsible for overseeing the day-to-day production operations of the bakery, ensuring products are manufactured safely, efficiently, consistently, and to the required quality standards. The role involves supervising production staff, coordinating daily production schedules, monitoring food safety and hygiene requirements, controlling wastage, and ensuring customer orders are completed on time.

Key responsibilities

- Supervise and coordinate daily production activities.

- Allocate staff, equipment, and production tasks according to the daily schedule.

- Ensure products are prepared, baked, packaged, and stored according to specifications.

- Monitor product quality, consistency, presentation, and portion control.

- Ensure production targets and customer orders are achieved within required timeframes.

- Lead, train, coach, and support bakery production employees.

- Monitor staff performance, attendance, productivity, and compliance with workplace procedures.

- Ensure compliance with food safety, hygiene,



workplace health and safety, and company policies.

- Maintain accurate production records, temperature logs, wastage reports, and quality-control documentation.

- Monitor stock levels and communicate ingredient and packaging requirements to management.

About you

- Previous experience in a commercial bakery or food production environment.

- Experience supervising or leading a production team.

- Strong knowledge of bakery production processes and food safety requirements.

- Ability to organise production schedules and prioritise competing deadlines.

- Strong attention to detail and commitment to product quality.

- Good communication, leadership, and problem-solving skills.

- Ability to work effectively in a rapid-paced production environment.

- Ability to train and motivate staff.

- Good understanding of workplace health and safety.

- Ability to work flexible hours, weekends, or public holidays where required.
