About Us
The Electrical Co. Australia (TECA) is a leading Field Service Provider dedicated to the delivery of Smart Meter Installations nationally for some of Australia's largest Meter Providers.
We pride ourselves on delivering excellence across our operations, supported by a large field workforce operating across multiple regions.
As our operations continue to grow, we are looking for an organised, proactive and tech-savvy Operations & Reporting Coordinator to join our team.
Role Overview
This is a varied role supporting our Operations team, with a strong focus on reporting, data, systems and administration.
You will be responsible for gathering and organising operational information, maintaining and developing reports, analysing data and providing clear and accurate updates to support day-to-day operational decision-making.
We're looking for someone who is more than a traditional administrator. You will need to be confident working with spreadsheets, data and different systems, have strong attention to detail and be comfortable using technology to find more efficient ways of working.
Strong communication skills are also important, as the role will work across multiple teams to gather information, follow up actions and provide clear updates to both operational and management teams.
The role will also involve the use of modern AI tools such as Claude and ChatGPT to assist with reporting, data analysis, research and administrative tasks. Previous experience with these tools is advantageous, but more importantly, we're looking for someone who is confident with technology and willing to learn.
Key Responsibilities
- Prepare and maintain regular operational reports.
- Gather, organise and analyse information from multiple systems and data sources.
- Build and maintain Excel spreadsheets,
trackers and reporting tools.
- Assist with reporting on workforce performance, capacity, productivity and other operational metrics.
- Review operational data to identify trends, gaps, inconsistencies and areas requiring attention.
- Prepare transparent summaries and updates for the Operations and Management teams.
- Maintain accurate operational records, trackers and documentation.
- Work with supervisors, coordinators and other internal teams to obtain information required for reporting.
- Follow up outstanding information and actions with relevant stakeholders.
- Communicate reporting outcomes, issues and updates clearly across the business.
- Assist with general operational and administrative requirements.
- Use AI tools such as Claude and ChatGPT to assist with reporting, analysis and administrative tasks.
- Identify opportunities to improve, simplify or automate existing reports and processes.
- Assist with ad hoc reporting, data requests and operational projects as required.
About You
We're looking for someone who is organised, analytical, proactive, a strong communicator and genuinely comfortable with technology.
You'll ideally have:
- Strong Microsoft Excel skills.
- Strong general computer and technology skills.
- Experience working with spreadsheets, reporting or operational data.
- Excellent attention to detail and a high level of accuracy.
- Strong written and verbal communication skills.
- The confidence to engage with different teams and stakeholders, obtain information, follow up actions and communicate outcomes clearly.
- The ability to interpret information and present it in a clear and practical way.
- Confidence working across multiple systems and learning new software.
- An interest in AI, automation and using technology to work more efficiently.
- Strong organisational and time-management skills.
- The ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment.
- A proactive approach to problem solving and the confidence to investigate when something doesn't look right.
Experience in administration, reporting, data coordination, operations support or a similar role would be highly regarded.
Experience within electrical, utilities, construction, field services or another operational environment would be advantageous but is not essential.
Location
Our preference is for the successful candidate to be based within the Tweed Heads / Northern Rivers region, however we are also open to candidates based in Sydney or other suitable locations for the right person.
TECA operates across multiple locations, and this position will work closely with our Operations team and other areas of the business.
Working arrangements and location can be discussed with suitable candidates.
What We Offer
- Competitive salary based on experience.
- Full-time position with a growing Australian business.
- Opportunity to work closely with our Operations and Management teams.
- Exposure to a large-scale national smart metering program.
- Opportunities for career growth and advancement.
- A dynamic and team-oriented work environment.
- The opportunity to help improve the way we use reporting, technology and AI across our operations.

If you're an organised problem solver, a strong communicator and someone who enjoys working with data, technology and finding smarter ways to get things done, we'd like to hear from you.
