Your Team

You will be part of a multi-disciplinary Cybersecurity team working closely with our technology team, our business and our partners. The Cybersecurity team supports all of Hollard’s diverse security technologies protecting our cloud, traditional on-premise platforms and custom-developed applications. Your Role

The Enterprise Security Architect operates at the apex of a multi-disciplinary Cybersecurity team, working closely with the Head of Architecture and Engineering, technology leadership, and senior business stakeholders. The Cybersecurity team secures Hollard’s diverse technology estate spanning cloud, on premises platforms, and custom-developed applications. Hollard is undertaking a significant technology transformation program.



This role is central to shaping the security direction of that journey and ensuring investment decisions are strategically sound and risk-informed

Your duties and responsibilities

- Define and own the enterprise target state security architecture, ensuring alignment to business strategy, risk appetite, and regulatory obligations.

- Develop the cybersecurity strategy and multi-year roadmap, including articulation of current state gaps and the path to target state.

- Lead investment planning for the cyber program of work, including development of business cases, funding submissions, and prioritisation frameworks for board and executive consideration.

- Serve as a decision-making member of the Strategic Architecture Forum, representing cyber security interests and ensuring security is embedded in enterprise architecture decisions

- Provide technical leadership, mentoring, and direction to the security architecture practice, elevating capability and consistency across the team

- Maintain current knowledge of insurance industry regulatory and compliance requirements (e.g. APRA CPS 234, SOCI, Privacy Act) and ensure the security architecture meets those obligations.

About You

- Extensive experience in cybersecurity, with demonstrated experience as a Senior security Architect or equivalent leadership role.

- Demonstrated experience defining enterprise security strategy and target state architecture in complex, regulated environments

- Deep experience operating in financial services or insurance under APRA prudential standards (CPS 234) and associated regulatory frameworks.





- Experience leading and mentoring security architecture practices or teams with strong understanding of current and emerging AI capabilities and implications on security.

- Sophisticated stakeholder management, influencing, and executive communication skills

- Strategic mindset with the ability to translate ambiguous problems into clear direction and actionable plans
