About the Role Reporting to the Maintenance Manager, you will be responsible for the maintenance, repair, and continuous improvement of production machinery and plant equipment. The successful candidate will play a critical role in minimising downtime and ensuring production targets are achieved safely and efficiently.
Key Responsibilities
Carry out preventative, predictive, and breakdown maintenance on production equipment
Diagnose mechanical faults and perform repairs in a timely manner
Maintain and service conveyors, pumps, gearboxes, motors, bearings, pneumatic and hydraulic systems
Assist with machinery installations, upgrades, and improvement projects
Support continuous improvement initiatives to increase equipment reliability and production efficiency
Work closely with production teams to minimise downtime and maintain operational performance
Ensure all maintenance activities comply with workplace health and safety requirements
Complete maintenance records and reports accurately

Skills & Experience
Trade qualification as a Mechanical Fitter or Fitter & Turner
Previous experience in a manufacturing, packaging, plastics, food, or FMCG environment




Strong mechanical fault-finding and troubleshooting skills
Experience working with pneumatic and hydraulic systems
Welding and fabrication experience highly regarded
Ability to read and interpret technical drawings and maintenance documentation
Strong commitment to workplace safety
Excellent problem-solving skills and ability to work independently
