EXPERIENCED BOOKKEEPER – PART-TIME OR FULL-TIME

Nice Backyard is seeking an experienced and reliable Bookkeeper to join our team in Somerton, Melbourne. This position can be part-time or full-time, depending on the successful candidate.

Key Responsibilities:
Manage accounts receivable and accounts payable
Process payroll, superannuation and employee entitlements
Prepare and lodge Single Touch Payroll (STP)
Complete bank and credit-card reconciliations
Prepare customer statements and follow up overdue accounts
Enter and process supplier invoices and payments
Maintain accurate financial records
Assist with BAS preparation and reporting
Work closely with management and the company accountant
Prepare regular financial and cash-flow reports
Handle other general bookkeeping and accounts duties

Requirements:
Proven experience in bookkeeping and payroll
Strong knowledge of Xero
Good understanding of Australian payroll, GST and bookkeeping requirements
Experience with accounts receivable and payable




Strong attention to detail and accuracy
Excellent organisational and time-management skills
Confident following up overdue customer accounts
Reliable, trustworthy and able to maintain confidentiality
Good written and verbal communication skills
Ability to work independently and meet deadlines
