About the Role

As a Shotfirer, you will play a key role in delivering protected, compliant and effective drill & blast activities in line with the mine plan.

Your responsibilities will include:
Preparing, loading, priming and firing production blasts
Managing blast exclusion zones, clearances and communications
Ensuring compliance with explosives legislation, site procedures and safety standards
Identifying and managing blast-related risks, including misfires, flyrock and fumes
Completing blast documentation, inspections and reporting
Conducting quality assurance and supporting continuous improvement initiatives
Working closely with the wider drill & blast team to achieve protected and productive outcomes

What You'll Bring




Shotfirer Licence - for Shotfirer applicants
Dangerous Goods Licence
Dangerous Goods Security Card
Unrestricted C-Class Driver's Licence
12+ months' experience in blast crew or shotfiring operations
HR Licence - highly regarded
Current National Police Clearance
Ability to successfully complete a pre-employment medical and drug & alcohol screening
Strong commitment to safety and working as part of a tea
