The Role:
Due to our continued and expected growth, we are seeking a qualified forklift operator for our Kewdale Department, with the ability to perform a range of lifts safely and efficiently, including loading and unloading trailers.
Monday – Friday
Approx. 50+ hours a week
Duties:
Undertake safe and effective loading, unloading, movement, restraint and storage of freight as required;
Apply load restraint and check packaging and the condition of freight before it travels;
Maintaining a clean, organised, and safe yard and warehouse environment
Operating tablet-based systems for internal orders, pick/pack, and dispatch
Identifying hazards and maintaining compliance with health and safety procedures
To be considered for this role, the successful applicant will be able to demonstrate the following;
Holds a valid High Risk Licence (FL)
Experience in the transport industry
Minimum of 2 years experience operating a forklift operator with linehaul loading experience advantageous.
Ability to understand and adhere to WHS and Safety Regulations
Excellent attitude, a valuable work ethic and reliability
Willingness to undergo medical examination - inclusive of Drug and Alcohol screening.
Additional requirements for the roles will include:
Load Restraint Course (desirable)
National Police Clearance
A positive can-do attitude, solid work ethic and tidy appearance is always highly regarded when assessing applicants.
