About the role

Velocity Accommodation Group is looking for a passionate Chef to become part of the team at Velocity Motel & Bistro in Karratha. Working on a 2:1 roster with FIFO from Perth or live-in options available. All meals and accommodation are paid for whilst on site.

Key responsibilities
Ensure effective food prep and meal services
Operate large-volume cooking equipment such as grills, deep-fat fryers and combi ovens
Participate in the implementation and management of the Food Safety Program
Clean, sanitise and maintain cooking utensils, equipment and food preparation areas
Participate in regular stock take and inventory control activities
Document cleaning schedules, incoming goods, food holding units and temperature probes




Produce quality food and develop compelling and wide-ranging menus
Work collaboratively with the Head Chef and company Directors to achieve company vision

About you
Australian recognized Commercial Cookery qualification cert 3 minimum
Minimum 1 years' experience in large commercial kitchens
Sound knowledge of Food Safety Standards, relevant legislation and statutory obligations
Demonstrated interpersonal communication skills and the ability to work in a team
Enthusiasm and commitment to high standards of customer service
HACCP Level 2 certification (desirable)
Food Safety Supervisor certification (desirable)
