We are seeking a friendly, reliable and motivated Dental Assistant / Front Desk Receptionist to join our team at our Upper Coomera dental practice. This is a combined role involving both chairside dental assisting and front desk/reception duties. The successful candidate will be organised, skilled, caring towards patients and comfortable working in a busy dental environment.
Key responsibilities
Assist dentists during examinations and dental procedures
Prepare treatment rooms, instruments and materials
Sterilise and maintain dental instruments in accordance with infection-control procedures
Maintain a clean, safe and organised clinical environment
Assist with dental X-rays where appropriately trained
Restock clinical rooms and monitor dental supplies
Support patients before, during and after treatment
Welcome and assist patients in a friendly and qualified manner
Answer telephone calls and respond to patient enquiries
About you
Have previous dental assisting and/or dental reception experience
Have excellent communication and customer service skills
Be friendly, professional and patient-focused
Be reliable, punctual and well organised
Be confident using computers and practice management systems
Be able to multitask and work efficiently in a busy environment
Work well independently and as part of a team
Have strong attention to detail
Understand the importance of confidentiality and infection control
Be willing to assist across both clinical and reception duties
