Purpose of role

n

This is an opportunity for an experienced Medical Practice Manager to join our busy specialist cardiology practice. As Practice Manager you will be an integral member of our skilled and supportive team, ensuring the efficient and effective day-to-day running of our practice and the management of the administration staff.

Responsibilities

n

n
Management of administration staff, including staff wages and entitlements
n
Provide friendly, skilled and efficient patient care
n
Manage surgical lists
n
Duties include answering and responding to phone enquiries, manage appointment diary for multiple specialists,



manage patient appointments for outpatient tests and hospital procedure bookings
n
Proficient outpatient and inpatient billing (Eclipse)
n
Medicare/DVA electronic claiming
n
Banking reconciliations
n
Management of all medical correspondence
n
Staff wages and entitlements
n
End of month practice billing
n
Incoming and outgoing accounts
n

Selection criteria

Qualified and empathetic customer service
n
Excellent communication skills (written and verbal)
n
Ability to work as part of a team and autonomously
n
Excellent time management and ability to prioritise
n
Experience in specialist rooms, in a busy and constantly changing environment
n
Proficient with all patient billings (including outpatient/inpatient (ECLIPSE)/ Medicare/DVA claims)
n
Experience with Zedmed software highly regarded
n
Liaising with doctors, colleagues and other health professionals
