Join a Growing Australian Building Supplies Business

We are a growing, family-owned building supplies business supplying timber and building products to trades and construction businesses across Sydney.

We are looking for an experienced Warehouse & Asset Operations Manager to take ownership of our day-to-day warehouse operations and help us continue improving the way we work.

This is a hands-on leadership position suited to someone who enjoys being involved in the operation, solving problems and making things run better.

You will work closely with the Directors Finance and Business Operations Manager and lead our warehouse and logisticsteam, providing the structure, guidance and accountability needed to keep the warehouse operating efficiently.

The Chance

This role has been created to strengthen our operational structure as the business continues to grow.

You will take responsibility for:
Leading and supporting the warehouse and logistics team
Planning warehouse rosters and staffing requirements
Monitoring warehouse productivity and performance
Managing inventory accuracy and investigating discrepancies
Coordinating inventory adjustments when required
Taking ownership of trucks, forklifts, trailers and other operational equipment




Coordinating servicing, maintenance and repairs
Managing relationships with mechanics and external service providers
Maintaining equipment and asset records
Identifying opportunities to improve warehouse efficiency
Ensuring warehouse procedures and WHS requirements are followed
Reporting operational issues and opportunities directly to the Directors

What We're Looking For

We're looking for someone who is organised, proactive and practical, with solid leadership skills.

You don't need to have already been an Operations Manager. This could be an excellent next step for an experienced Warehouse Manager, Warehouse Supervisor, Logistics Supervisor, Senior Warehouse Team Leader or Operations Coordinator.

We are particularly interested in someone who is mechanically minded and comfortable managing trucks, forklifts, machinery and equipment, or someone with solid experience coordinating maintenance and external contractors.
