Our client is a National Leader leading manufacturer of surfactants and supplier of phosphates in the Australian market. Our comprehensive product range services the industrial, construction, mining, food and household & personal care markets.
We’re currently seeking an experienced Maintenance Fitter for site-based work for the Wetherill Park Facility.
This is a hands-on role supporting the ongoing reliability and performance of critical plant equipment, If you're the right fit, this chance will become permanent.
Position Brief Below:
MONDAY TO FRIDAY WORK
WETHERILL PARK LOCATION
OCCASIONAL OVERTIME WHERE REQUIRED
7am – 3pm
$60.30 per hour + overtime rates if required
Temp to Permanent Opportunity
Key Responsibilities:
Perform fault finding, repairs, and preventative maintenance on rotating equipment including pumps, gearboxes, motors, agitators, and blowers
Interpret mechanical drawings and manuals to carry out accurate maintenance
Use of CMMS (preferably MEX) to manage maintenance tasks and records
Ensure all work is carried out safely, particularly around chemicals, confined spaces, and moving machinery
Essential Skills & Experience:
Trade qualification: Mechanical engineering or maintenance fitter qualification together with relevant experience
Qualified Mechanical Fitter or similar trade background
Robust hands-on experience with rotating equipment maintenance
Exposure to preventative and predictive maintenance regimes
Sound knowledge of protected work practices in industrial environments
Competent using CMMS systems for tracking and reporting maintenance activities
Desirable:
Background in chemical processing or high-risk industrial environments
Exposure to Reliability-Centred Maintenance (RCM) and CI methodologies
Forklift Licence
Basic welding skills (TIG, MIG, stick)
Experience with shutdown/turnaround maintenance work
Familiarity with LOTO (Lockout/Tagout) and plant isolation procedures
