Mechanical Fitter – Heavy Industrial | Afternoon Shift

$63–$64 per hour + penalties | 10–12 Hour Shifts | Long-Term Opportunity

We are currently seeking an experienced Mechanical Fitter to join a large and well-established recycling operation. This is an excellent prospect for a skilled tradesperson looking for consistent hours, strong earning potential and long-term work in a heavy industrial setting.

The Role

n

Working within a large-scale recycling facility, you will be responsible for the maintenance, repair and servicing of heavy industrial plant and machinery.

n

Key responsibilities include:

n

n
Preventative and breakdown maintenance
n
Mechanical repairs and fault finding
n
Servicing conveyors, crushers, compactors and other heavy industrial equipment
n
Planned maintenance and shutdown work
n
Welding and fabrication as required
n
Identifying and rectifying mechanical issues
n
Working safely in a heavy industrial environment
n




Completing maintenance records and following site procedures
n

What We're Looking For

n

Trade Qualified Mechanical Fitter

n

Previous experience in heavy industrial, manufacturing, recycling, mining or similar environments

n

Strong mechanical fault-finding skills

n

Experience working with heavy machinery and conveyors highly regarded

n

Ability to work independently and as part of a maintenance team

n

Strong commitment to safety

n

Reliable and punctual

n
