Job Description

We are looking for an experienced Factory Leading Hand to support our Factory Foreman with the day-to-day running of our joinery manufacturing workshop.

This is a hands-on role suited to an experienced cabinet maker who is ready to take the next step into a leadership position. You will help coordinate the factory team, maintain production workflow and quality, and ensure work is completed safely, efficiently and to a high standard.

Those with minimal experience in Cabinet Making who are willing to learn and take on this role are also welcome to apply. Training and support will be provided in-house.

Key Responsibilities

n
Support the Factory Foreman with daily factory operations
n
Assist with coordinating production and meeting deadlines
n
Support and guide factory staff and apprentices
n
Provide hands-on assistance across the workshop when required
n
Assist with training and mentoring junior team members
n
Monitor quality and identify production issues or defects
n
Check completed work prior to dispatch
n
Help maintain a clean, organised and effective workshop
n
Ensure tools, machinery and equipment are used safely and maintained
n
Assist with materials, stock and factory storage
n




Follow and promote workplace health and safety requirements
n
Communicate any production, workflow or equipment issues to the Factory Foreman
n

Skills & Experience

n
Trade qualification or experience in Cabinet Making
n
Experience in cabinet making or joinery manufacturing
n
Robust understanding of joinery manufacturing processes
n
Ability to read and interpret drawings and plans
n
Good communication and organisational skills
n
Strong attention to detail and quality workmanship
n
Good problem-solving skills
n
Ability to work under pressure and meet deadlines
n
Current Driver's Licence
n
