Elk Espresso is on the hunt for our next Head Barista.

n

We're a big, busy beachside café in Broadbeach with a huge local & interstate following, a great crew and a coffee bar that absolutely hums. We've been doing this since 2012, and while a lot has changed over the years, one thing hasn't — we care deeply about what we put across the coffee pass.

Coffee is a massive part of Elk.

n

You'll co-lead a team of baristas across two La Marzocco machines, serving our house blend roasted by the legends at Social Roasters, alongside 3 weekly rotating guest coffees from some of Australia's best roasters.

n

This role is about more than making a killer flat white.

n

We're looking for someone who can lead the bar, develop our baristas, protect consistency when it gets busy and keep finding ways to make our coffee offering better.

You'll need:

n

n
Years of specialty coffee experience
n
Experience as a Head Barista, or the leadership skills to step into the role
n




Confidence in a high-volume setting
n
Strong latte art and excellent coffee knowledge
n
The ability to lead, train and develop a great team
n
A calm head when the coffee bar is pumping
n
Robust organisation and attention to detail
n
Fresh ideas and a desire to keep learning & to help our seasonal menus
n
A great personality and genuine love for hospitality
n
