Apprentice Welder (Apprenticeships offered)

Immediate start | Full time position | Smeaton Grange

FluidPro is a well-established manufacturer of quality mixers and plate heat exchangers, based in Smeaton Grange (South-West Sydney). We're expanding and looking for a 1st or 2nd year Apprentice Welder to join our hands-on manufacturing team.

About the Role

We are seeking a motivated, hard-working all-rounder to join our manufacturing team. This position involves a variety of tasks manufacturing and assembling mixers and plate heat exchangers, with an emphasis on quality across all products. With a range of tasks being undertaken, this role offers the prospect to expand your skills and experience within the manufacturing sector.
Learning and developing MIG/TIG welding skills
Running tests on assembled products according to drawings and job specifications
Quality assurance and cross-checking assembled products against job drawings; reporting non-conformances




Incoming goods checks and stock control
Packaging orders to send out to customers
Use of hand and power tools
Maintaining a safe and clean workplace
Manual handling and lifting
Forklift driving

Hours

Monday - Thursday: 7am - 3:30pm

Friday: 6am - 12pm

About You
A great "CAN DO" attitude and willingness to learn and grow
High attention to detail and accuracy
Pride in quality workmanship
Currently undertaking (or about to start) a welding apprenticeship, or relevant pre-apprenticeship/trade school experience
Reliable, punctual, and a consistent work history
Ability to follow instructions and work well as part of a team
Current forklift licence or willing to obtain one
