Job Description

We're looking for a reliable and hardworking Maintenance Worker to join a busy Local Government team based in Guildford West. This role will see you delivering essential maintenance and cleansing services across the local area, helping to maintain clean, safe, and well-presented public spaces for the community.

Key Responsibilities

Deliver town centre cleansing and maintenance services across assigned areas
n
Perform litter and rubbish collection duties to maintain public cleanliness
n
Carry out street and laneway cleaning activities
n
Maintain traffic facilities and ensure public areas remain safe and operational
n
Undertake verge maintenance, including mowing, edging, and general upkeep
n
Complete general gardening and landscaping tasks as required
n
Operate tools and equipment safely and effectively
n
Follow all WHS procedures and Council guidelines
n




Provide additional support and complete duties as directed by the Supervisor
n

About You

n

n
Previous experience in maintenance, landscaping, cleansing, or outdoor labouring roles
n
Ability to work in a physically demanding environment
n
Solid work ethic with a reliable and positive attitude
n
Ability to work independently and as part of a team
n
Valuable understanding of workplace health and safety practices
n
Current driver's licence preferred
n
Full Australian working rights (mandatory)
n
