Job Description

This is a fantastic chance for a trade qualified Maintenance Painter to help deliver essential painting and surface restoration work across a large scale industrial site in Port Kembla. In this role, you will be responsible for executing high quality exterior maintenance painting, ensuring structures are well protected and finished to a high standard. This position offers an initial 6 month contract with a likelihood of ongoing work for the right candidate upon project completion.

Your Responsibilities

n

Preparing surfaces thoroughly including washing, scraping, sanding, and patching prior to application

n

Applying paint, varnishes, sealants, and coatings using brushes, rollers, and spray equipment

n





Performing routine maintenance painting on various structures, facilities, and surfaces

n

Ensuring colour matching and quality finishes meet site specifications

n

Maintaining a protected, clean, and organised work area in accordance with site safety standards

n

Transporting materials and tools safely around the site

n

About You

n

Proven experience as a Painter, preferably within maintenance, commercial, or industrial settings

n

Relevant trade qualifications in Painting and Decorating (or equivalent practical experience)

n

Current White Card (General Construction Induction)

n

Reliable transport and a valid driver's licence

n

Solid attention to detail, reliability, and a solid work ethic

n

Ability to work safely both independently and as part of a team
