A large, privately owned small animal practice in the western suburbs of Melbourne is looking for an experienced vet to join their 10-vet team. With a high and varied caseload, excellent support staff and a high nurse-to-vet ratio, this clinic that offers plenty of scope to use your existing skills and continue developing professionally.

Many of the vets have advanced skills, and the team includes a specialist in small animal reproduction, with visiting medicine and surgical specialists also available. For vets who enjoy more involved cases, there is plenty of opportunity to work through complex presentations alongside experienced colleagues.

The practice is exceptionally well equipped, with CT, high-end ultrasound, digital radiography, endoscopy, laparoscopy and a full in-house pathology suite. There are also dental suites, multiple consulting rooms and operating theatres.

The team is looking for someone who enjoys working collaboratively and will thrive in a busy small animal practice. High clinical and ethical standards are important,



along with excellent communication skills and the ability to develop solid client relationships.

You’ll also have the chance to share your experience by mentoring and supporting new and recent graduates as they develop their skills and confidence.

Continuing education and special interests are strongly encouraged. Vets receive an annual continuing education allowance and have access to VIN, BSAVA resources, Plumb’s and the Sydney University CVE Hub.

Both full time and part time hours are available, with hours and salary negotiable. There are no sole charge or on-call shifts. The remuneration package includes an excellent base salary plus a guaranteed percentage of revenue generated to ensure pay fairness.

The western suburbs of Melbourne offer easy access to the CBD while also putting you within reach of the Bellarine Peninsula and Great Ocean Road.
