Staff Software Engineer | .NET & AWS

6-month contract | Sydney | Hybrid

We’re partnered with a quick-growing consultancy with enterprise clients. This role is suitable for an experienced Senior Software Engineer to lead the design and delivery of scalable, secure cloud-based applications.

You’ll work hands-on across architecture, development and deployment, while guiding engineers and helping shape technical direction.

Key responsibilities
Design and build enterprise applications using .NET, C# and AWS
Lead architecture and system design for cloud-native platforms
Deliver solutions from development through to production support
Build secure APIs, microservices and event-driven systems
Mentor engineers and support technical decision-making




Use AI-assisted development tools to improve delivery and code quality

Required experience
Robust commercial experience with .NET, .NET Core and C#
Deep AWS and cloud-native development experience
Proven solution architecture and distributed systems experience
Experience with REST APIs, microservices and event-driven architecture
Hands-on knowledge of Docker, Kubernetes, Terraform and CI/CD
Robust understanding of security, testing, observability and production reliability
Experience leading complex technical initiatives

Experience with Generative AI, Amazon Bedrock, RAG, LLMs or vector databases would be highly regarded.
