Job Summary
At HUB24, we're redefining the future of financial advice in Australia.
As a Software Engineer, you'll help design and deliver scalable, high-performance platforms that empower advisers and improve access to quality financial guidance.
You'll collaborate with a talented, supportive team, contribute to technical decisions, and build impactful solutions used by thousands.
Responsibilities
Design, build and maintain scalable applications and microservices
Develop and optimise APIs (public and private) for seamless integrations
Build modern, responsive web applications with strong UX focus
Write clean, maintainable, and well-tested code
Ensure performance, scalability, and security of systems
Participate in code reviews and contribute to engineering best practices




Collaborate with cross-functional teams in an agile environment
Support system maintenance, troubleshooting, and continuous improvement
Contribute to documentation, standards, and technical innovation (including AI-enabled solutions)
Requirements
Bachelor's degree in Computer Science/Engineering or equivalent
5+ years' experience in software engineering
Proficiency in Node.js (Nest.js a plus) and modern web technologies (HTML, CSS, JavaScript, TypeScript)
Experience with APIs, microservices, and web components
Knowledge of SQL (e.g. SQL Server) and/or NoSQL (e.g. MongoDB)
Exposure to cloud platforms (GCP preferred)
Familiarity with Git, CI/CD, and Agile (Scrum)
Strong problem-solving, communication, and collaboration skills
Experience with performance optimisation, testing, and secure development practices
Nice To Have
.NET (C#), caching strategies, financial services experience
