Job Description
* Assist experienced Mechanical Fitters with the maintenance, repair and installation of various mechanical equipment and systems
* Learn to diagnose and troubleshoot mechanical issues, and implement appropriate solutions
* Operate a variety of hand and power tools to carry out maintenance tasks
* Participate in safety inspections and maintain a clean and organised work setting

Equipment and assets you will be exposed to and working on are the following.
* Breathing Air Systems (Compressors) ie: Pistons, piston rings, crankshafts, bearings, complete reassembly and also full repairs going from old to new.
* Test Station (recertifying all pressure vessels, mainly but not limited too SCBA, SCUBA, Industrial Gas Cylinders and Seamless Cylinders
* Clean Room training (Specialist oxygen equipment,
life support gear and assembly lines for compressors)
* On-site jobs of the above work, both mining and sometimes offshore
* Defence work, Garden Island visits and manufacturing and building custom breathing air packages designed to support our Australian Navy, Army and Air Force.
* Refilling of brewing cylinders for CO2 as well as industrial gases such as Argon, Nitrogen and Oxygen

About the Candidate
Australian Safety Engineers' are looking for an enthusiastic apprentice to join their team as a Mechanical Fitter. This is a full-time role based in Canning Vale, Western Australia. As an Apprentice Mechanical Fitter, you will gain hands-on experience in a range of mechanical maintenance and repair duties, developing valuable skills and qualifications., * Strong mechanical aptitude and interest in the trades industry
* Ability to read instructions and complete written paperwork clearly and accurately.
* Completed Year 12
* Excellent hand-eye coordination and attention to detail
* Willingness to learn and follow instructions
* Good communication and problem-solving skills
* Commitment to workplace health and safety
