What You'll Learn
* Prepare and apply chemicals for pest, weed and disease control, ensuring safe transportation and storage.
* Install and maintain drainage and pressurised irrigation systems, including operation and upkeep.
* Operate a range of machinery and equipment used in golf course and turf maintenance.
* Improve soil quality and plant nutrition to promote healthy turf growth and exceptional playing conditions.
* Control weeds, pests, diseases and disorders affecting turf areas.
* Assist with the renovation and construction of sports turf facilities.
* Follow safe work practices and equipment operating procedures.

About the Candidate
You may not have prior experience in sports turf management, but you're punctual, dependable and willing to embrace the early start times that are part of maintaining exceptional golf course conditions.
You enjoy working outdoors, take pride in your work and can interact confidently with people from all walks of life.
You already hold, or are willing to obtain, a White Card and Working with Children Check. A current driver's licence is desirable but not essential.
You must be an Australian citizen to satisfy the government requirements associated with the apprenticeship training program.
