Job Description
Dawson Mine is seeking motivated and safety-focused individuals to join our team as Apprentice Auto Electricians. This is an exciting opportunity for Moura and Banana Shire residents to earn while you learn, gaining hands-on experience maintaining and repairing some of the largest and most advanced mining equipment in Australia., During this 4-year apprenticeship, you'll be working alongside experienced tradespeople, you will complete a nationally recognised qualification while developing the skills needed for a rewarding career in the mining industry.
Apprentice Auto Electrician, you will:
* Assist with the maintenance, troubleshooting and repair of electrical systems on mobile mining equipment
* Learn to diagnose faults using specialised diagnostic tools and equipment
* Support planned and breakdown maintenance activities
* Develop skills in reading electrical schematics and technical documentation
* Maintain a robust commitment to safety and environmental standards
* Work collaboratively with experienced tradespeople and operational teams
* Complete all apprenticeship and training requirements successfully
About the Candidate
* Have a genuine interest in automotive electrical systems and heavy equipment
* Demonstrate a strong commitment to safety
* Are reliable, motivated and eager to learn
* Have good problem-solving and communication skills
* Can work effectively in a team environment




* Hold a current Driver's Licence or are working towards obtaining one
* Finishing Year 12 this year and looking for your next career opportunity
Previous mechanical, automotive or electrical experience is advantageous but not essential.
