Manitou Operator / Materials Handling Coordinator A leading construction company is seeking an experienced Manitou Operator and Materials Handling Coordinator to join their team in Canberra on a permanent, full-time basis.
This is a hands-on role that combines equipment operation with site coordination, offering a competitive salary of $40–$50 per hour + superannuation. You'll be responsible for managing materials movement across active construction sites, ensuring safety compliance, and working closely with site teams to keep projects moving efficiently.

Preferred Requirements




Current White Card and valid driver's licence
Telehandler ticket or verified competency in operating telescopic materials handlers
High Risk Work Licence qualifications as relevant to the Manitou configuration (CN, DG, or WP certifications depending on role scope)
Demonstrated experience operating Manitou or similar telehandler equipment on construction sites
Strong understanding of site safety protocols and load management best practices

Preferred Qualifications
Formal training or certification in telehandler operation and materials handling
Experience working on multi-trade construction sites or in a coordinating capacity
