This is an excellent opportunity for an experienced lawyer to join a National Corporate & Commercial practice and work closely with a highly regarded Competition Partner.
The real attraction here is the breadth and quality of the work.
Rather than being confined to one stream of Competition law, you will work across merger assessments and transactions, ACCC engagement and merger filings, regulatory investigations, Part IV competition issues, restraint of trade, consumer law and competition-related disputes.
You will advise blue-chip clients across a diverse range of industries, while collaborating with the broader Corporate & Commercial and Disputes teams on sophisticated matters.
This allows you to build a genuinely broad Competition & Consumer practice while developing wider commercial expertise.
At Senior Associate level, you will take ownership of matters, build direct client relationships, play an active role in the practice and mentor junior lawyers.
The broader Corporate & Commercial practice is well established, creating opportunities to collaborate across complementary speciality areas and become involved in matters extending beyond traditional Competition & Consumer work.
For a lawyer looking at their longer-term career, the firm's merit-based progression model is a genuine differentiator, with performance and contribution driving advancement rather than traditional hierarchical structures.
