About the Role
MSS Security is seeking a Casual Control Room Operator to join our team at a corporate/data centre site located in Burwood East.
The successful applicant will have demonstrated experience working within a control room environment, including monitoring CCTV and alarm systems, managing access control, responding to incidents, and maintaining accurate and timely reporting.
A high level of professionalism, strong attention to detail, and the ability to operate effectively in a rapid-paced, security-focused environment are required.
Duties include but are not limited to:
Monitor CCTV and alarm systems to ensure site safety and security
Coordinate day-to-day security operations within the control room environment
Manage access control, including staff, contractor, and visitor entry
Respond to and document incidents accurately and in a timely manner




Support emergency response procedures as required, including escalation and coordination
Requirements
Full Australian working rights
Valid Victorian Security Licence with Control Room Endorsement
Current First Aid and CPR certificationValid driver's licence
Ability to work a 24/7 rotational roster
Minimum 2 years' experience in a control room operator role (preferred)
Experience using Gallagher systems (desirable)
Solid written and verbal communication skills, including report writing
High level of attention to detail and accuracy
