The Role
We are seeking a motivated and detail-oriented Accountant to join our team. This role is ideal for someone with solid technical accounting knowledge who enjoys working with multiple clients and delivering high-quality financial and tax outcomes.
Key Responsibilities
Prepare and review financial statements in accordance with applicable accounting standards.
Assist with external audit engagements, including review of financial records, audit testing, and documentation.
Perform financial and variance analysis to identify discrepancies and support reporting outcomes.
Prepare and review BAS and other statutory filings to ensure compliance with ATO requirements.
Liaise with clients and regulatory bodies, including the ATO and ASIC, on accounting, audit, and compliance matters.
Support month-end and year-end close processes,
including reconciliations and audit adjustments.
Assist senior accountants with advisory, audit, and compliance work.
About You
Bachelor’s degree in accounting, Finance, or CPA / CA qualification ongoing or willingness to commence a related discipline
Minimum 3 years’ relevant accounting experience
International accounting exposure will be viewed positively and add value to the firm.
Sound understanding of Australian accounting and taxation requirements
Experience using Xero, MYOB, or QuickBooks
Robust attention to detail and time management skills
Excellent written and verbal communication skills
