Job Description:
Our client is seeking a Small Animal Associate Veterinarian for a permanent position that can be structured on either a part-time or full-time basis, with a minimum commitment of 24 hours per week.
The role provides a varied companion animal caseload covering preventive medicine, consultations, diagnostics, routine procedures, surgery, and dentistry, supported by a full in-house laboratory, digital X-ray, ultrasound, and dedicated surgical and dental facilities.
The successful veterinarian will work alongside an experienced Lead Veterinarian and capable nursing colleagues in an environment that encourages clinical development and flexible working arrangements.
Rostering can be tailored around individual preferences, including four longer working days or five shorter days.
Rotating Saturdays form part of the position and may involve sole-charge routine consultations, with emergency cases able to be referred externally.
In this position, your responsibilities will include:
Manage routine consultations and preventive healthcare across a varied small animal caseload
Undertake diagnostic investigations using in-house laboratory, ultrasound, and digital imaging resources
Perform general practice surgical and dental procedures according to clinical experience
Handle occasional sole-charge Saturday consultations with confidence and sound judgement
Build positive client relationships through transparent, compassionate, and professional communication
Qualifications Needed:
Bachelor of Veterinary Science or an equivalent qualification recognised in Australia
Registered or eligible for registration with the Veterinary Practitioners Registration Board of Victoria
Ideally at least one year of veterinary experience, with flexibility for a suitable applicant
Calm and organised approach to clinical work with strong interpersonal abilities
Proactive attitude towards continued professional and clinical development
Package:
