Head Chef

We are currently hiring an experienced Head Chef for a mediterranean restaurant offering casual fine dine. We are looking for a motivated team member, to work in our restaurant in southside ACT. Must be able to work weekends including lunch and dinner.

Major Duties and Responsibilities:

Fine dining experience in a rapid-paced establishment.

Food preparation and cooking, plating and presentation.

Maintaining and ordering stocks and supplies.

Cutting-edge in producing new ideas for menu and special occasions.

Able to work in a busy environment, including weekends and public holidays.

Have demonstrated leadership qualities and rostering expertise.

Ability to communicate with the FOH manager effectively and keep a last positive relationship.

Train other kitchen staff if required.

All other required cook/chef duties.

Requirement:

1 year plus Chef/Cook experience.

Cert III / CertIV in cookery preferred.

Teamwork oriented.

Excellent communication and organisation skills.

High standard of personal hygiene.

Work independently without supervision,

Work in a rapid-paced environment.
