Vineyard Vet Hospital is looking for a friendly, compassionate and highly organised Full-Time Receptionist to join our team.

About the Role

As the first point of contact for our clients and their pets, you’ll play an key role in creating a warm and welcoming experience. You’ll be responsible for providing excellent customer service while supporting the veterinary team with the day-to-day running of the hospital.

Your responsibilities will include:
Welcoming clients and their pets with warmth and professionalism
Answering phones, emails and client enquiries
Booking and managing appointments
Checking clients and patients in and out
Processing payments and handling cash/transactions
Managing client records and maintaining accurate information
Liaising with veterinarians, nurses and the wider team
Assisting with general administrative and reception duties
Maintaining a clean, organised and welcoming reception area
Providing compassionate support to clients during both routine and difficult visits

About You





We’re looking for someone who is:
Friendly, approachable and genuinely enjoys helping people
Passionate about animals and their wellbeing
Confident communicating with clients both in person and over the phone
Highly organised with excellent attention to detail
Calm and skilled in a busy setting
Reliable, punctual and able to work effectively as part of a team
Comfortable multitasking and prioritising competing demands
Previous veterinary reception or veterinary industry experience is highly regarded, but we are also open to the right person with strong customer service and administration experience
