About the Role
We are seeking aPrimary Design Engineer/Designerto join our supportive and passionate team.
This role focuses onzone substation primary design, including:
66kV GIS buildings
22kV AIS systems
Control building design projects
This is a hands‐on engineering role contributing to the delivery ofsafe, efficient, and high-quality substation designsfrom concept through to detailed design.
Key Responsibilities
Deliver primary substation design solutions (including substations up to 500kV, earthing, lighting, and cable design)
Develop designs in line withAS ****, relevant standards, and Safety in Design requirements
Coordinate with secondary, civil, and project teams to ensure integrated design delivery
Review and verify internal and external design outputs and manufacturer drawings
Support scoping and estimation of primary design works
Contribute to design standards, technical improvements, and innovation initiatives
Ensure designs meet safety, quality, and project objectives
About You
Bachelor of Engineering (Electrical)
Experience in the electrical/power industry, ideally within substation design




Strong understanding ofprimary substation design (distribution & sub‐transmission)
Experience withAutoCAD
Understanding of Safety in Design principles
Working towards or holding NER / RPEng / RPEV (or equivalent)
RPEQ (advantageous)
