About the opportunity
Due to our expanding workload, we are looking for an exceptionally brightprincipal water engineer to take a senior position in our QLD team.
This exciting role will report to the company directors and play a key role in shaping our team in Brisbane.
The roles requires the ability to meet tight deadlines, great organisational skills, and the ability to lead a design team.




The successful candidate will possess the ability to complete complex tasks and projects quickly as part of a high performing team.
In this role over the next 6 months, you will have:
Integrated into the FJA team and worked with some great people
Meet with key clients and build on existing relationships as well as building new relationships to bring new projects to FJA
Led our water team on some of Australia's biggest infrastructure projects
Supervised and worked on complex water main design and calculations
Supervised and worked on complex sewer main design and calculations
Challenged yourself with complex problem solving and innovation finding
Considered lifecycle safety in design across our projects
Attended project meetings to gain an understanding of your projects
Been an integral part of a projects' success
Received training and mentoring to develop your business development skillsets
Had the opportunity to be involved with bids and proposals
Qualifications
A degree in civil engineering
Ten years plus experience
Ability to mentor and motivate the next generation
A willingness to learn new skills
Salary $170-$250K depending on experience
Lunch provided onsite
Quarterly team social activities
Training and development as identified in 6 monthly planning session
