Electrical Project Engineer | Major Projects

Minecon Recruitment is working with an established well known electrical contractor looking to add an Electrical Project Engineer to their Brisbane project delivery team.
n
This is a great prospect for an Electrical Engineer looking to build their project experience across large-scale commercial and major infrastructure projects.
n
Working closely with the Project Manager and site team, you'll get exposure across the full project lifecycle including design coordination, procurement, construction, testing, commissioning and handover.
n
The Role
n
You'll be involved across a broad range of project activities including:
n
n
Electrical engineering and design coordination
n
Reviewing drawings, specifications and technical documentation
n
Managing RFIs, technical submissions and material approvals
n
Coordinating suppliers, subcontractors, consultants and site teams
n
Supporting procurement of electrical equipment and subcontract packages
n
Monitoring engineering and procurement against project programmes
n
Providing technical support to supervisors and construction teams
n
Assisting with variations, cost estimates and project reporting
n
Managing quality documentation, ITPs and inspections
n
Supporting testing, commissioning and project handover
n
n
The position also provides exposure to the commercial side of project delivery, including variations, progress claims, forecasting and cost-to-complete reviews.

About You
n




We're looking for someone with a solid electrical engineering background and some practical project experience who's ready to take the next step.
n
n
Degree in Electrical Engineering or a closely related discipline
n
Experience within electrical construction, building services, infrastructure or major projects
n
Good understanding of LV electrical distribution and installation
n
Ability to read and interpret electrical drawings, specifications and technical documentation
n
Experience working with subcontractors, suppliers and project teams
n
Strong communication and problem-solving skills
n
Good attention to detail and ability to manage competing priorities
n
Construction White Card or ability to obtain one
n
Exposure to HV, communications, security or ELV systems would be advantageous
n
