About the Role
n
As a Casual Freight Coordinator, you'll support cargo handling operations, coordinate freight movements, operate equipment, and help maintain the high standards of safety, security, and service that AIRWAY is known for.
n
Key Responsibilities
n
n
Safely load, unload, screen, and move cargo within the terminal environment
n
Operate forklifts and airside cargo vehicles in accordance with safety and compliance requirements
n
Coordinate freight movements and ensure cargo is processed accurately and efficiently
n
Complete operational documentation, system updates, and maintain accurate records
n
Adhere to workplace health, safety, aviation security standards, and general warehouse housekeeping requirements
n
n
This role involves regular manual handling tasks, including lifting, carrying, and moving heavy freight. Candidates must be able to safely perform the inherent requirements of the position.
n
Working Hours
n
AIRWAY operates 24 hours a day,



7 days a week. This is a casual position offering flexible hours across a rotating roster. Shifts may include early morning starts, afternoon and evening shifts and weekend work.
n
Short-notice availability across all days of the week is highly desirable to support operational requirements.
n
About You
n
We're looking for dependable, safety-focused team members who enjoy a hands-on role and are ready to thrive in a fast-paced airport setting. To succeed you must be:

Reliable, punctual and safety-focused, with a strong work ethic and positive attitude
n
Flexible and available to work a rotating roster, including weekends and additional shifts when required
n
Enjoys variety in their work schedule and thrives in a fast-paced operational environment
n
Strong communication skills with the ability to work effectively within a team
n
Physically capable of performing manual handling tasks and previous warehouse, freight, logistics or aviation experience is highly regarded
n

Licences & Requirements

Current Forklift Licence
n
Current Australian Driver Licence and reliable transport
n
n
