About the role
n
We are currently seeking a Senior Quantity Surveyor to join our Unite32 team.
n
Laing O'Rourke has been appointed by the Games Independent Infrastructure and Coordination Authority (GIICA) as the Delivery Partner for the $7.1bn Brisbane **** Olympic and Paralympic Games Venues Infrastructure Program.
n
This achievement is celebrated with our joint venture partner AECOM,as part of the Unite32 consortium, a strategic team formed specifically to deliver the **** Brisbane Olympic and Paralympic Games.

Key responsibilities
n
n
Deliver commercial requirements of the project
n
Preparation and submission of progress claims and ensuring their timely payment.
n
Advise the project management team on contractual issues & initiate correspondence.
n
Prepare,
review & submit reports to prescribed timescales (including equipment and cost reports).
n
Review change management opportunities
n
n
About you
n
n
You will hold a tertiary qualification in Quantity Surveying, Engineering or Commercial Law.
n
Ideally you will hold MRICS membership or be working towards membership
n
Hold an intermediate level of experience in a similar role, having worked within large scale infrastructure, construction, rail or heavy industrial environments.
n
A comprehensive knowledge of the principles and practices of contract management, program financial management, risk and opportunity management, performance reporting, budget preparation and administration
n
A high level of technical and negotiation skills
n
Strong interpersonal skills along with your ability to liaise confidently with a variety of internal and external stakeholders will be highly regarded
n
