Job Description
The Senior Restoration Technician role supports the Restoration Manager in delivering high-quality restoration services to clients, insurers, assessors, and stakeholders while ensuring all works are completed safely, efficiently, and to company standards.
n
This role will be hands-on in the field, responding to water, fire, mould, storm, impact, and other insurance-related restoration claims. On large jobs the Senior Restoration Technician will act as the on-site leader to ensure that the project is running efficiently while maintaining quality standards.

Key Responsibilities
n
Restoration Services
n
n
Attend emergency make-safe and restoration call-outs.
n
Conduct water extraction, drying, dehumidification, and moisture monitoring.
n
Perform mould remediation in accordance with industry standards.
n
Carry out fire and smoke damage cleaning and restoration.
n
Undertake contents handling, inventory management, and pack-out services.
n
Install, monitor, relocate, and collect restoration equipment.
n
Complete demolition and strip-out works as required.
n
Assist with the creation and implementation of structural drying and restoration programs.
n
Conduct site assessments and capture the key details required to create accurate and defensible restoration reports and scopes.
n
Maintain accurate moisture mapping and monitoring records.
n

Project Delivery
n
n
Follow restoration scopes prepared by the Restoration Manager.
n
Supervise, mentor, and support technicians, labourers, and contractors to ensure secure and efficient project delivery
n
Provide regular updates on job progress and site conditions.
n
Identify variations, additional damage, or potential risks and report them promptly.
n
Ensure works are completed within agreed timeframes and budgets.
n
Liaise professionally with homeowners, tenants, builders, assessors, and insurers.
n

Health, Safety & Compliance
n
n
Comply with all WHS policies, procedures, and legislative requirements.
n
Ensure all restoration works comply with IICRC standards, WHS requirements and company procedures.
n
Conduct site risk assessments before commencing works.
n
Maintain safe work practices and use PPE at all times.
n
Ensure restoration equipment is operated safely and maintained correctly.
n
Report incidents, hazards, and near misses immediately.
n
n
Administration & Documentation
n
n
Complete daily job records, moisture readings, photographs, and site reports.
n
Maintain accurate equipment tracking and usage records.
n
Ensure all restoration documentation is submitted on time.
n
Assist with preparing reports for insurers and clients when required.
n
n
Company Representation
n
n
Present professionally when attending sites and meeting clients.
n
Provide excellent customer service during often stressful claim situations.
n
Maintain company vehicles, tools, and equipment in a clean and serviceable condition.
n
Contribute positively to culture and team environment.
