A rare opportunity to join Queensland Museum in Townsville as Programming Coordinator.
This role will strongly appeal to educators who are passionate about creating engaging learning experiences beyond the classroom.
You will support the development, delivery and evaluation of high-quality programs for priority audiences, working closely with the Manager, Programming and Engagement to coordinate school bookings and activities, partnerships and logistics.
We are seeking a highly organised and adaptable professional with excellent interpersonal skills, a collaborative approach and a can-do attitude.
Experience in teaching, curriculum planning and education program delivery will be highly valued.
Under direction, develop, deliver and evaluate programs and events including curriculum-linked activities, tours, talks, and workshops to engage priority audiences online, onsite, and offsite.




Perform administrative functions associated with program and education delivery such as coordinating contractors, responding to enquiries and facilitating bookings.
Maintain appropriate systems and records, collate date and conduct desktop research to draft routing reports, meeting minutes, memorandum and correspondence as required.
Work collaboratively with colleagues onsite at Queensland Museum Tropics and across Queensland Museum to set priorities, communicate requirements, optimise efficiency and delivery high-quality programming.
Build and maintain partnerships with relevant stakeholders including education, community, cultural, sector and industry networks
Comply with Queensland Museum policies, procedures and appropriate legislation including a commitment to creating a child safe and youth friendly learning environment.
Contribute to the safety culture of QMN by reporting all incidents and hazards and ensuring work is undertaken in the safest way possible, following all QMN WHS policies and/or procedures and guidelines relevant to the job.
