We are seeking a Civil Designer to join our Civil Engineering team. This is a key role for an experienced designer ready to take ownership of drafting and design delivery, support project teams, and contribute to the continued growth and reputation of EDGE as a high-performance boutique consultancy.

About the Role
n
Due to ongoing growth, EDGE Consulting Engineers will be looking for a Civil Designer to join our team in the following few months. Therefore, this is an expressions of interest.
n
As a Civil Designer, you will provide design and drafting support across all phases of project delivery, working closely with Engineers and other Designers to deliver high-quality documentation within agreed timeframes and budgets.
n
This role suits a designer who is detail-focused, organised, technically capable, and ready to take ownership of project outputs.
n
Key Responsibilities
n
n
Consult across all phases of project delivery from schematic design through to completion
n
Undertake detailed civil engineering design and documentation
n
Prepare Development Approval reporting packages
n
Complete site assessment and planning support
n
Plan and manage CAD documentation of design work
n
Coordinate with survey, architectural, and external consultants
n
Ensure project work is delivered within agreed deadlines and budget
n
Keep senior staff informed of key service and design decisions
n
Attend meetings and site inspections as required
n
Maintain record copies and current folders to ensure accurate project information
n
Utilise EDGE Civil Standard Details across all projects
n
Produce clear, concise civil documentation in line with EDGE QA processes
n




Take ownership of drafting deliverables and assigned projects
n
Respond to requests from Lead Civil Designers and Engineers in a timely manner
n

About You
n

Key Capability Requirements
n
n
Typically 3+ years civil design and drafting experience (intermediate to senior level)
n
Civil Engineering Degree or Diploma (desirable)
n
Strong competency in 12d and REVIT
n
Proficient background with Structural or Building projects, in the civil industry (Must have)
n
Experience modelling earthworks surfaces and volume calculations
n
Proven experience designing and documenting civil structures for urban subdivisions
n
Strong knowledge of relevant local standards and design requirements
n
Local Building/ structural experience
n
