As their project portfolio continues to grow, they are seeking an experienced Senior Estimator to join their team and play a key role in securing and delivering the next generation of projects across Queensland.

About the Role
n
Reporting directly to the Estimating Manager, the Senior Estimator will be responsible for preparing accurate and competitive tenders for a wide range of electrical projects. This is a strategic role requiring strong commercial acumen, technical expertise, and the ability to build positive relationships with clients, consultants, suppliers, and internal stakeholders.
n
You will lead the estimating process from initial enquiry through to tender submission, ensuring all opportunities are assessed effectively and align with the company's growth objectives.
n
Key Responsibilities
n
n
Review tender documentation, specifications, drawings, and contract requirements.
n
Conduct quantity take-offs and develop pricing strategies.
n
Obtain and evaluate supplier and subcontractor quotations.
n
Identify project risks and opportunities during tender review.
n
Develop tender submissions and supporting documentation.
n
Participate in client meetings, clarification processes, and negotiations.
n
Maintain and improve estimating systems, databases,



and procedures.
n
Work closely with project delivery teams to ensure successful project handover.
n
Mentor and support junior estimating staff where required.
n
n
About You
n
To be successful in this role, you will bring:
n
n
Proven experience in an Electrical Estimator or Senior Estimator position.
n
Possess an Electrical trade qualification and/or engineering background.
n
Strong understanding of commercial, industrial, and infrastructure electrical projects.
n
Demonstrated ability to manage multiple tenders simultaneously.
n
Excellent knowledge of electrical systems, installation methodologies, and industry standards.
n
High-level proficiency in estimating software and the Microsoft Office suite.
n
Strong analytical, commercial, and problem-solving skills.
n
Excellent communication and stakeholder management abilities.
n
A proactive and collaborative approach with strong attention to detail.
n
Experience working within a Tier 1, Tier 2, or large-scale electrical contracting environment.
n
Knowledge of Queensland market conditions, suppliers, and subcontractors.
n
