About the Role
n
Key Responsibilities
n
n
Design, develop, and maintain full-stack web applications using React.js and Next.js on the front end, and Java and Python on the back end.
n
Build and consume RESTful APIs, ensuring performance, scalability, and security.
n
Contribute to architecture and design decisions across the front-end and back-end stack.
n
Develop and maintain automated test suites using frameworks such as Playwright, Jest, or Cypress.
n
Build, maintain, and troubleshoot CI/CD pipelines to support frequent, reliable releases.
n
Deploy, monitor, and optimise applications on AWS cloud infrastructure.
n
Participate fully in Agile ceremonies (stand-ups, sprint planning, retrospectives) and collaborate closely with Product, Design, and QA.
n
Use Git/GitHub for source control, code review, and collaborative development.
n
Troubleshoot, debug, and resolve production issues across the stack.
n
Mentor junior engineers and contribute to engineering best practices and code quality standards.
n

Required Skills & Experience
n
n




7 - 12 years of professional software engineering experience in a full-stack capacity.
n
Strong hands-on experience with Java and Python.
n
Strong hands-on experience with React.js and Next.js.
n
Proven experience designing and building REST APIs.
n
Practical experience with Git/GitHub in a cooperative development environment.
n
Experience working within Agile delivery practices (Scrum/Kanban).
n
Experience building and maintaining CI/CD pipelines.
n
Experience with testing frameworks such as Playwright, Jest, Cypress, or similar.
n
Hands-on experience with cloud platforms, particularly AWS.
n
Strong problem-solving skills and the ability to work independently as well as within a team.
n
Excellent communication skills, with the ability to articulate technical concepts to non-technical stakeholders.
n
Experience with Infrastructure-as-Code (e.g. Terraform, CloudFormation, CDK).
n
Exposure to containerisation and orchestration (Docker, Kubernetes).
n
Prior experience in a senior or lead engineering capacity.
n
Experience in regulated or enterprise-scale environments.
