You will be the most senior finance leader in the business, reporting directly to the Managing Director
n
You'll help drive our three‐year growth strategy, supporting a business's growth plans
n
You'll move beyond just reporting into commercial insight, governance, and strategic decision support
n
You'll work alongside a highly engaged senior leadership team that values clarity, accountability, and professionalism
n
You'll be trusted to own the function end‐to‐end and continuously improve how finance enables the business
n

About the role
n
As Finance Manager, you will be responsible for all financial operations, compliance, and strategic financial leadership, including:
n
n
End‐to‐end financial management of the business
n
Monthly management reporting, forecasting, and cashflow planning
n
Budgeting, financial modelling, and commercial analysis
n
Payroll, GST Audits, BAS, and statutory compliance
n
Business financial budgeting and reporting, whole of business and departments.
n
Supporting the Managing Director and leadership team with clear, practical financial insights each month.
n
Improving systems, processes,



and financial discipline across the business
n
Managing and mentoring the finance team to provide a high-performance outcome.
n
n
Who we're looking for
n
You'll thrive in this role if you:
n
n
Have strong demonstrated experienced in senior bookkeeper, finance or financial controller roles within SMEs or project‐based businesses.
n
Experience withMYOB / Xero, solid Excel skills, and hands‐on Australian payroll and tax compliance knowledge.
n
Have an accounting or financial qualification, not necessarily a CPA.
n
Hands‐on leadership style, staying close to the day‐to‐day financial operation while maintaining a clear view of business priorities and outcomes.
n
Commercially minded, with the ability to translate numbers into clear business insights.
n
Strong communication style, with the ability to explain financial information clearly, influence decision‐making, and build confidence across the business.
n
Comfortable working closely with founders / owners / executive teams.
n
Detail‐oriented, disciplined and governance‐focused, with the commercial judgement to stay practical and focused on outcomes.
n
A steady and credible leader who strengthens team cohesion, sets the standard through action, and earns the trust of others through clarity, consistency and accountability.
