The
Stakeholder & Community Engagement Manager
leads stakeholder, community, First Nations and government engagement activities that support project development, approvals and delivery.
The role builds trusted stakeholder relationships, manages community and social impact programmes, and provides advice on stakeholder risks and opportunities to strengthen Gentari Australia's reputation and social licence to operate.
Key Responsibilities:
Stakeholder, Community and Government Relations
Lead the development and execution of stakeholder, community, First Nations and government engagement strategies that support project development, approvals, construction, operations and business objectives, while strengthening Gentari Australia's social licence to operate.
Build, maintain and influence trusted relationships with landholders, communities, First Nations groups, government authorities, regulators, industry associations and other key stakeholders, representing the company in consultations, engagement activities and industry forums.
Provide advice and recommendations to business and project teams on stakeholder risks, issues, opportunities and engagement approaches,



ensuring stakeholder considerations are integrated into project planning and delivery.
Support government and industry engagement activities, advocacy initiatives and strategic partnerships that contribute to project outcomes, stakeholder confidence and business priorities.
Stakeholder Communications and Advocacy
Develop and deliver stakeholder communications, consultation programmes, engagement campaigns and advocacy initiatives that support project delivery, business priorities and stakeholder confidence.
Prepare stakeholder-facing communication materials, consultation reports, presentations, briefing notes and engagement collateral for internal and external audiences.
Monitor stakeholder sentiment, emerging issues, policy developments and public perceptions, providing recommendations and engagement strategies to proactively manage stakeholder and reputational risks.
Support issues management and crisis response activities by ensuring timely, consistent and effective stakeholder communications during sensitive situations.
Community Relations and Social Impact Programmes
Develop and oversee community investment, sponsorship, partnership and social impact programmes that deliver sustainable outcomes for local communities and align with business objectives and stakeholder expectations.
Identify and implement opportunities to create shared value between project, business and community priorities.
Build and maintain relationships with community organisations, local partners and non-government stakeholders to support long‐term engagement objectives and positive community outcomes.
Monitor and evaluate programme effectiveness, stakeholder feedback and community impact to ensure initiatives remain relevant, effective and aligned with project commitments.
Project Development and Regulatory Support
Partner with development, environmental, construction and operational teams to integrate stakeholder considerations into project planning, approvals and delivery activities.
Support development approvals,



environmental assessment processes and regulatory engagement activities through proactive stakeholder and community management.
Identify stakeholder‐related risks and opportunities throughout the project lifecycle and develop appropriate engagement, communication and mitigation plans.
Ensure stakeholder commitments, community obligations and engagement requirements are effectively managed, tracked and delivered.
Governance, Reporting and Performance Management
Develop and manage stakeholder engagement plans, consultation frameworks, budgets, performance metrics and reporting requirements.
Ensure compliance with regulatory, governance and company requirements relating to stakeholder, community and government engagement activities.
Maintain stakeholder records, engagement databases, commitments registers and reporting systems to support effective governance and decision‐making.
Track and report on stakeholder sentiment, engagement effectiveness, key issues, risks and community outcomes, driving continuous improvement across engagement practices.
Lead the stakeholder and community engagement function by setting priorities, engagement frameworks and performance measures.
Manage, coach and develop the Stakeholder & Community Engagement Analyst, ensuring effective delivery of stakeholder engagement, community relations and reporting activities.
Skills and Experience Required:
Minimum 5-7 years of experience in stakeholder engagement (preferably with experience in the renewable energy sector managing community engagement requirements)
Tertiary qualifications in communications/stakeholder engagement (desirable) and or journalism
Certified professional qualifications/training in stakeholder engagement – IAP2 (desirable) or equivalent
Collaborative and supportive team member with planning and environmental impact assessment experience in the renewable energy sector
Strong capability to relate to communities and develop collateral that presents information in digestible and easy to understand formats
Ability to work proactively both autonomously and within a team
Ability to operate at a detailed level, to organize and prioritise, with dedication to seeing projects through to completion
Ability to travel both domestically and internationally as required
Excellent written and oral communications skills.
Media training would be looked upon favourably but not essential
Additional skills in related areas will be viewed favourably
