The Opportunity
n
You will partner with senior management and business units to provide strategic legal advice across general insurance and financial services operations. This is a pivotal role in ensuring compliance with ASIC obligations, maintaining governance standards and embedding a strong compliance culture across the organisation.

Role Responsibilities
n
n
Provide expert legal and regulatory advice on financial services, insurance, consumer and privacy law.
n
Support AFSL obligations, product governance and disclosure requirements.
n
Draft and review Product Disclosure Statements, Target Market Determinations,



Financial Services Guides and marketing materials.
n
Partner with senior management to uplift governance standards.
n
Monitor regulatory developments, assess operational impacts and implement policy updates.
n
Liaise with regulators on financial services compliance, governance and breach matters.
n
Support breach management, remediation and continuous improvement initiatives.
n
Collaborate with internal stakeholders to promote a proactive, values-led compliance culture.

Skills and Experience
n
n
Bachelor of Laws (LLB) and current Australian legal practising certificate.
n
Minimum 7+ years' post-admission experience in financial services or insurance law.
n
Strong understanding of AFSL obligations, breach reporting and ASIC guidance.
n
Demonstrated experience drafting disclosure and regulatory documentation.
n
Excellent communication, influencing and relationship-building skills at senior levels.
n
Ability to operate autonomously and deliver pragmatic, commercially sound advice in a dynamic environment.
