Technical Expertise: A minimum of 5 years in supporting technical environments and providing solutions in a MSP environment
Leadership Skills: Demonstrated experience in leading and mentoring a team, helping them achieve higher levels of performance and skills development.
Proactive Initiative: A proactive approach to taking charge, identifying issues, and implementing solutions quickly and effectively.
We are looking for an experienced Systems Engineer who can deliver technical solutions while leading a small team.
This position is crucial for collaborating with our other operational teams to implement and maintain the systems we provide to our clients.
We envisage that your role will be 80% engineering where you will be a senior technical resource and escalation point for our Level 3 team.
You will have demonstrated experience with:
Microsoft 365, Exchange Online, EntraID, Azure and Intune.
Robust understanding of LAN, WAN, Switches, Routers and Firewalls
Solid application of PowerShell
Experience with ESXi or alternate hypervisor
Deploying applications and updates via third party tools
Experience with the following is highly desirable:
Management of UniFi network and Palo Alto firewalls
Experience with Veeam Backup and Recovery
PowerShell scripting for support and automation
GDAP

The remaining 20% of your role will be dedicated to mentoring and leading our team of Systems Engineers.
This team is well experienced and qualified, and driven to provide exceptional solutions to our clients.
In this capacity, you will ensure your team has the technical skills and resources required to deliver our services.
In addition to demonstrating experience in leading a team, you must have a level 3 skill set with minimum 5 years of relevant technology engineering experience in an MSP environment.
(Please note, experience with a MSP is essential!)
You will be responsible for the technical requirements of a group of clients so your ability to collaborate within the business and with our customers is paramount to your success.
Strong presentation skills are essential, as you will need to effectively communicate technical information to both technical and non-technical stakeholders.
Additionally, you are passionate about client service and motivated to stay up to date with current and new technologies.
This is not an entry level position and you must have experience supporting infrastructure and leading a small team.




You must demonstrate that you can quickly learn new technologies and procedures and work autonomously on a wide variety of technologies.
