Job Description
Key responsibilities
n
You will be responsible for:
n
n
undertaking workplace audiometric hearing testing;
n
preparing equipment and the mobile testing vehicle for each job;
n
contacting clients before arrival;
n
maintaining accurate records;
n
uploading test results to our secure online platform;
n
following appointment schedules and operational instructions;
n
maintaining a safe environment for yourself, participants and clients; and
n
representing Mobile Screening professionally at client sites.
n
n
Working hours and travel requirements
n
This is not a fixed-hours office role. Applicants must be willing and able to:
n
n
commence work early, with starts from approximately 6.00 am being common;
n
work flexible and changing hours according to client bookings and travel requirements;
n
work shifts of up to 10 hours, with appropriate meal and rest breaks;
n
occasionally work outside the usual 6.00 am to 6.00 pm window;
n
occasionally work a longer day where operational or travel circumstances require it;
n
travel between multiple client locations;
n
undertake regional and interstate travel;
n
stay away from home overnight or for extended periods when required; and
n
work between four and five days per week, depending on availability and operational requirements.
n
n
While days longer than 10 hours are uncommon, applicants should be comfortable with the possibility where travel, flight schedules or client requirements make this necessary.
n
Skills and experience
n
You will need:
n
n
strong communication and time-management skills;
n
the ability to work independently and take responsibility for your daily schedule;
n
the ability to follow procedures and operational directions;
n
good attention to detail and record-keeping skills;
n
confidence using email, smartphones and cloud-based technology;
n
a friendly, professional and customer-focused approach; and
n
a willingness to undertake training and learn additional screening, administrative or operational skills as required.
n
n
Previous audiometric or health-screening experience is not essential. Comprehensive training will be provided.
n
About you
n
n
is dependable, punctual and comfortable working autonomously;
n
is adaptable when appointments, travel arrangements or working hours change;
n
understands that early starts and variable-length days are part of mobile field work;
n
is comfortable driving a large van and, where required, a vehicle towing a trailer;
n
is physically able to enter and exit a high roof van;
n
enjoys travelling and working at different client locations;
n
communicates well with clients, participants and colleagues;
n
is willing to receive feedback and continue developing their skills; and
n
are willing to learn other workplace health-screening services as business needs and opportunities arise.
