You Matter Solutions Pty Ltd is seeking a dedicated Occupational Therapist to join our team in a part-time capacity. Based in Brighton-Le-Sands, NSW, this role offers a wonderful opportunity to make a meaningful impact on clients' lives by helping them achieve independence and improve their quality of life. As an Occupational Therapist, you will play a vital part in our mission to provide holistic, person-centred rehabilitation and therapeutic services to individuals across various age groups and conditions. This position allows for flexibility whilst maintaining a significant contribution to our clients' therapeutic journey and recovery outcomes.

What you'll be doing
n
Conducting comprehensive occupational therapy assessments to evaluate clients' physical, cognitive, and psychosocial functioning
n
Developing and implementing individualised treatment plans tailored to clients' goals and rehabilitation needs
n
Delivering evidence-based therapeutic interventions to improve functional abilities, independence and quality of life
n
Providing activities of daily living (ADL) training and adaptive strategies to support clients in their home and community environments
n
Collaborating with multidisciplinary teams including physiotherapists, social workers and medical professionals to ensure coordinated care
n
Monitoring client progress, evaluating treatment effectiveness and adjusting interventions as required
n
Providing education and support to clients and their families or carers regarding therapy goals and practical strategies
n




Maintaining detailed and accurate clinical documentation and records in compliance with professional standards and regulatory requirements
n
Contributing to team meetings and case discussions to support best practice outcomes
n
Liaising with external providers and community services to facilitate ongoing support and referrals when appropriate
n
What we're looking for
n
A current, recognised qualification in Occupational Therapy from an accredited Australian or internationally equivalent program
n
Registration with the Occupational Therapy Australia and compliance with NDIS Worker Screening Check requirements (or willingness to obtain)
n
Demonstrated experience in conducting occupational therapy assessments and delivering therapeutic interventions
n
Knowledge of rehabilitation principles and best practice in occupational therapy practice
n
Strong interpersonal and communication skills with the ability to build rapport with diverse clients and their families
n
Ability to work both independently and collaboratively within a multidisciplinary team environment
n
Excellent organisational and time management skills, particularly important in a part time role
n
Commitment to evidence-based practice and continued professional development
n
Proficiency with electronic health records and clinical documentation systems
n




A compassionate and person-centred approach to client care
n
Experience in disability services, aged care, or community health settings would be advantageous
n
